Overview
I traveled to Liberia a beautiful west African country alongside The Last Well and Sawyer. I had reached out to Sawyer months earlier about filming a short documentary highlighting the behind-the-scenes story of one of their water filter distribution teams. The Last Well had a goal of providing clean water access to Liberia and they were utilizing Sawyer water filters to provide clean water to the hardest-to-reach places.
I was introduced to Othello one of their team leaders and I had the pleasure to hear from him about how he is working day in and out to provide clean water to members of his community. When I work with nonprofits I encourage them to tell stories that are focused on the people who live and work in their communities every day. It’s easy for organizations to shift narratives to their accomplishments and goals. When we hear from guys like Othello, it’s hard to dispute what’s being done. He lives and breathes it every day. He walks the miles and talks with families that have seen the difference these filters have made in their lives.
Our team created a training video for Sawyer Products, which has been utilized worldwide to educate teams on the optimal practices for installing and distributing clean water filter systems across the globe.
