Texas Public Arts

Texas Public Arts is a on going documentary series that offers an unfiltered look into the lives of working artists. Exploring their creative processes, personal reflections, and the realities of daily life.

I’ve been filming artists across North Texas / DFW, the studios, the streets, the galleries. These are short films, intimate and observational, capturing not just the work but the process, the space, and the people behind it.

North Texas is full of artists creating in plain sight. Some are known locally, some are still emerging, but all of them are shaping the visual culture of their communities. This series is about noticing that work, giving it space, and letting the artists tell their own story.

Why This Matters

Public art isn’t just what’s on the wall or in the gallery. It’s in the gestures, the repetition, the quiet persistence of making. These films aren’t about commentary or critique, they’re about presence. Being in the same room as someone shaping our visual culture. Slowing down enough to notice.

Texas Public Arts is my attempt to create that space, to put a camera where attention usually isn’t. To show that these artists exist, that their work matters, and that watching them create is enough to change the way we see the places around us.
